MY FRIEND.......................I've known you for 10 years plus. You came to me monthly for all that time for your treatments and recommended me and came to my teaching and supported me and became a true friend. We came to your wedding and the last 12 months in particular we've corresponded daily via emails, texts and phone calls. Today you died. I can't describe how sad I am. I haven't stopped crying all day. It was all so sudden (after 7 years of all your illnesses and the last 12 months, bone cancer). Monday you said 'I'll see you tomorrow gill, don't worry if you have to cancel if you have too much to do'. Tuesday morning you text 'I am in hospital, apparently the pain in my legs is a DVT - got to have an operation, phone will be off, speak to you in a few days'. Less than 24 hours you were dead.
